Materials

Print and Paper Specifications:

- Museum-quality giclée fine art printing with UV stabilised inks..

A giclée print made using pigment inks can be lightfast for up to 100+ years, but this depends on factors such as paper type and storage conditions. By using pigment based archival inks, the archival properties of a giclée print are significantly higher than traditional silkscreen or litho prints.

- Paper specifications/weight: 200-275gsm fine art decor etching paper.

Perfect for artists producing fine art prints, high white with a surface texture that replicates a traditional etching paper. Coated with the latest pigment and dye inkjet receptive technology, the cotton content in the base gives a high quality feel whilst providing flexibility. With an excellent colour gamut and exceptional d-max, this paper is the ideal for reproducing a wide range of tones. This paper is also acid and lignin free; making it the perfect option for creating archival quality reproductions of your art.

Frame Specifications:

Created from high-quality wood, milled with simple clean lines and presented with a satin finish.

- Simple, elegant design
- Premium, fine art paper with a gently textured surface
- Perspex glaze for added protection (NOT GLASS)

Care Instructions

Giclée fine art prints are renowned for their longevity which is why they are displayed in the worlds finest museums, art galleries and private art collections. Correctly caring for your giclée print will ensure your print is enjoyed for generations to come.

Here are some tips on how to handle and care for your prints:

  1. Treat your giclée fine art print the same way you would treat an original piece of art.
  2. Avoid placing your print near moisture, oil, dirt, heat, dust, solvents, adhesives as this will most definitely damage your print.
  3. Only handle your prints with clean, dry hands. If you have white cotton gloves use those to handle the print instead as the oils from skin can affect the PH of the paper and reduce the archival properties
  4. To avoid dents, creases and oily marks always handle your prints with two hands. A crease is permanent.
  5. Use acid free tissue paper to cover your prints to avoid damage.
  6. If you need to roll out your print make sure you use a clean, flat surface. Place the artwork on the surface still covered in tissue paper and place some smooth heavy objects eg. books on the edges and centre. Leave overnight or longer until it has flattened out.
  7. Avoid touching dark areas of the print as this will leave scuff marks.
  8. As with all artwork, avoid direct sunlight as this will cause fading and damage the print.

Please note that our fine art posters and frames are for indoor use only.

Keep the poster or frame from accumulating dust and dirt by wiping them regularly with a microfibre cloth.

Great pictures of home

We’re thrilled with our purchases. Just what we wanted. We are from Chch & also lived in Nelson so both prints were perfect for our apartment in Qld. Great service from the team.

Wedding present

I’m hoping the recipients like the two posters we’ve given this Britain-based Kiwi couple who’ll marry in London in September. The posters represent their home towns — a little Kiwi nostalgia …

Really cool poster

I love my travel poster. Looks just like it does on the website. Only regret I have is that I opted for it unframed. Should have bought it framed. So unfortunately it's still not on the wall until I do so lol.
